Cisco buys SolveDirect

Cisco Systems today announced the acquisition of Austrian SolveDirect, through which she hopes to Cisco to offer new means of connecting to cloud services, and to protect data in the public domain.

Cisco did not publicly disclose the purchase price.

In a statement on the occasion of buying Cisco said that the acquisition will enable Cisco to offer a more unified approach to the management of cloud services that can be created on the basis of products and technologies from different companies.

"Today's SaaS-service providers now spend too much time and effort to support cloud infrastructures. This increases the cost and complexity of the support services ... From SolveDirect products can solve many of the routine tasks associated with cloud products and technologies," - said in a Cisco .

SolverDirect company was founded 13 years ago as a developer of solutions for process management and project collaboration. According to, the conditions, bought the company will join the department Cisco Services Platforms Group.
