A British court will force Apple to improve the image of Samsung

Apple has not been able to challenge the verdict of the British court that Samsung tablets do not copy the appearance iPad, reports BBC News. The appeal was rejected by Apple on Thursday, October 18.

The decision of not guilty in July, Samsung made a judge of the High Court in London Colin Birss. He said that the Galaxy Tab and the iPad is similar, but the devices Samsung "not as cool" as the iPad, and they lack the "extreme simplicity" that is the tablet Apple.

The verdict of the British court has effect throughout the European Union.

Birss also ruled that Apple should fix the "defamatory impression" of Samsung, which could form the consumers because of litigation. It ordered Apple to place on the UK site, and in several British newspapers reported that Samsung is copying iPad. Message on the site must contain a reference to the decision of the court.

Because the court dismissed the appeal, Apple will be forced to comply with a direction Birss. Appellate court decision can be challenged in the Supreme Court, but until Apple representatives said the company will take advantage of this right.

The patent battle between Apple and Samsung is in several countries. In the U.S., the judge recognized that Samsung copied the design Apple, and ordered the South Korean company to pay compensation in the Apple billion U.S. dollars. Samsung has filed an appeal, the decision on which is still pending.
